Eating Abroad

So in all honesty, one of the best parts about this whole experience is the delicious treats I have gotten to enjoy over the last two weeks. Not only were these restaurants incredible, but if you pay attention to their logos and their signs that alone will make you want to go inside and check out their product. Some of my favorite signs were the little all capital letters, just like what The Flour Pot had. It is a simple style that I think suits a small bakery and sandwich shop well. I also was amazed at the chalk drawing ability I saw. The "P is for Pimms" and "G is for Gin" sign below are a perfect example of the many intricate and talented handlettered signs that you will find in London. I love the classic look of the chalk. Also, the hand lettering gives it a personal and artistic touch that the generated typeface is not able to bring to the table. I added the location to some of the pictures in case you want to try any of these yummy places out. Enjoy! Until next time.
