Kensington Palace

The one week that I have been here I have become quite fond of the charming park in my front yard. For a runner, biker, jogger, walker, Hyde Park is 6 acres of glorious, mostly-flat bright green grass that is free to explore until your hearts content. One of my favorite things to do here is just run in the park, it really is beautiful. So far my route is to circle the park once, then run around the half mile wide lake so carefully placed directly facing Kensington Palace. I like to stop half way around, and look at the palace. Closer in to the side of the palace, there is a fairy-tale style gate embellished with gold trim. It is a classy contribution to the overall design of the castle; which is a red brick, white window pane building with the most precious backyard you could wish for. Compared to Buckingham Palace, this palace is more quaint partly thanks to the red brick design of the walls. It has more of a quiet look- peaceful and secluded from the hype and crazy of the city surrounding it. I hope you enjoy this post, talk to you soon!
